The Marine Harvest Riptide are seeking the services of an individual to coordinate the weekly video taping of games. The chosen person will need to be available on Saturdays & Sundays between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. Traditionally, we have the potential for two home games to be played each day on the weekend at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm in either Campbell River or the Comox Valley. Our goal is to have the games taped and recorded through the use of our Hi-Pod and Video Camera. All we ask is that the chosen individual be prepared to transfer the hi-pod to and from the venue (with a vehicle provided), set-up the Hi-Pod, tape the game and upload the video files to the Riptide Pointstreak Account (which then allows the coaches to download and view the recorded game). This is a paid position and requires a driver’s license. If you are interested please complete the following list of questions.
What is VIPL?
Vancouver Island Premier League is a BC Soccer-sanctioned, Island-based competitive league comprised of teams from both Upper Island Soccer Association (UISA ) and Lower Island Soccer Association (LISA ). It is the second tier of four recognized by the BC Soccer League Play Pathway.
VIPL is equivalent to Metro/Select on the Mainland and teams compete provincially at the “A” Cup level.
Tier I = BCSPL (BC Soccer Premier League) – Also called HPL
Tier II = VIPL (Vancouver Island Premier League) Also called A-Cup
Tier III = UISA Pacific Development League – Also called Gold, Rep, or B-Cup
Tier IV = House – also called Club or Silver/Bronze
VIPL age divisions: Boys and Girls – U14, U15, U16 and U18.
*U17 age players attend evaluations with the U18s – if there is a large enough cohort, U17 teams may be fielded. Otherwise, U17s and U18s will play together on the U18 teams.
